Owen Sound Attack goaltender Carter George is one of three netminders and one of 27 players from across Canada to be summoned to the camp.
The Thunder Bay, Ontario native was Canada’s starting goaltender during last year’s tournament.
The other two goalies called to the camp are Jack Ivankovic (Mississauga, Ontario) and Joshua Ravensbergen (North Vancouver, BC).
The training camp will be held at the Gale Centre in Niagara Falls, Ontario prior to the IIHF World Junior Championships, and the camp roster consists of 15 forwards, 9 defencemen, and 3 goalies.
This year’s WJCs will take place December 26-January 5 in Minneapolis-St Paul, Minnesota.
The roster features three players skating in the NHL this season in Calgary Flames defenceman Zayne Parekh, San Jose Sharks forward Michael Misa, and Pittsburgh Penguins defenceman Harrison Brunicke.
It also features a number of OHL players, including Cole Beaudoin and Kashawn Aitcheson of the Barrie Colts, Liam Greentree of the Windsor Spitfires, and Jett Luchanko of the Brantford Bulldogs.
London Knights coach Dale Hunter will be the Team Canada’s bench boss for the tournament.
Canada has finished fifth in the past two years at the tournament after winning back-to-back gold medals in 2022 and 2023.
