The Municipality of Kincardine is inviting residents and local businesses to discuss community priorities through its Municipal Matters meetings.
The meetings will be held in December.
The municipality says that the discussions will be focused on the upcoming changes to the Blue Box program, which will feature a presentation from the Manager of Environmental Services, Mark O’Leary.
Mayor Kenneth Craig will also be on hand to explain the decisions of council, provide updates, and answer questions.
The meetings will offer festive hot chocolate and treats for those who participate in the interactive conversation.
The questions and feedback that are received will also be used to steer future meetings, while hearing priorities from the community and maintaining transparency and providing a direct line of communication with staff and council.
Council approved a communications policy in August of this year that would strengthen service, communication, and public engagement.
The first meeting will be held on December 2nd at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre in Tiverton from 8-9:30 am.
The second session will be in the Miller Room at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine on Monday, December 15th, between 6:30 and 8 pm.
