Grey Bruce OPP say a 20-year-old suffered serious injuries after falling from a roof while on the job in Southgate.
Emergency services responded to the incident at about 1 p.m. Wednesday afternoon at a construction site in Southgate Township.
The OPP say a 20-year-old from Linwood fell about eight metres from a roof while working on the site.
“The individual sustained serious life-altering injuries and was initially transported to the local hospital and then airlifted to a trauma centre for further treatment,” OPP say in a release.
Police did not release any information about the employer or the specific nature of the work being undertaken when the workplace incident occurred.
The Ministry of Labour was notified and is investigating.
