
The OPP say a construction worker was left with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle near Tiverton.
Emergency services responded to the incident on Highway 21 around 5:20 p.m. Monday evening. Police, Bruce County paramedics and Kincardine firefighters were called to the scene.
South Bruce OPP say a 70-year-old construction worker was transported to a local hospital after being hit by a northbound vehicle, and later airlifted to a London trauma centre for treatment.
Highway 21 was closed for several hours between Concessions 6 and 8, but has since reopened.
“Police and the Ministry of Labour continue to investigate the collision,” South Bruce OPP say in a release. “If you have any information in relation to this matter, or if you possess camera footage from that area on that date & time, please contact the South Bruce OPP.”
