Body-worn cameras have now come to Huron County’s police force.
The Huron County detachment of the OPP is the latest to implement body-worn cameras for trained uniformed officers.
The cameras are worn on the front of the officer’s vest and are clearly visible to anyone an officer may be interacting with.
They will display a visible green ring with flashing lights when in standby mode, which will turn flashing red once the BWC’s begin recording.
Earlier this month, Lambton County OPP announced body-worn cameras would roll out to all officers, as soon as they were trained in their use.
