A report of suspected gunfire in Northern Bruce Peninsula has resulted in charges.
Grey Bruce OPP say they were called to a report of suspect gun shots and a suspicious vehicle in the area of Cape Chin South Road late Tuesday night, just prior to midnight.
The OPP say officers located a vehicle matching the description they had and pulled it over.
“A firearm was located inside the vehicle,” Grey Bruce OPP say in a release.
Police say a 59-year-old Neyaashiinigmiing resident was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of restricted firearm and having care of a vehicle with liquor readily available.
The accused was released from custody and is due to make an appearance in court in Owen Sound next month.
