The Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre is honouring Remembrance Day with a special presentation next weekend.
On Nov. 8, historian and author Ted Barris will hold a presentation from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on the significant contributions of Canadian airmen during the Battle of Britain in World War II.
This is the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, and the presentation will highlight how the Canadian flyers helped defend England in 1940.
Barris says, “Through documentary film footage, sound, interview clips and commentary, my presentation will give attendees a personalized sense of the Canadian pilots, politicians, engineers, and ordinary citizens who stepped up and made a difference.”
Refreshments will be offered during the ticketed event.
