It will look like Halloween downtown Owen Sound on Saturday.
The River District’s Trick-or-Treat Trail is set to take place between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 25th.
The City says in a release, “The Trick-or-Treat Trail event has been designed to give participants the opportunity to trick-or-treat in their community during daylight hours and on a weekend.” (This year, actual Halloween is on a Friday)
The event will take place at over 20 participating businesses throughout the River District. A map of participating businesses can be found on the events page at OwenSoundRiverDistrict.ca, as well as at City Hall. The United Way of Bruce Grey will be outside City Hall with copies of the Trick-or-Treat Trail map as well.
They say, “All little ghosts, goblins, and those dressed in Halloween costumes are invited to participate in this free community event brought to you by the participating businesses and the River District Board of Management.”
That evening, the Ghostbusters Frozen Empire movie will be playing in front of City Hall. The movie site opens at 6:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, Downtown Kincardine will be bustling Saturday as trick-or-treaters also hit the streets there for some pre-Halloween fun.
There will be downtown trick or treating October 25th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. where businesses along Queen Street will be handing out candy.
Penetangear will have a Halloween costume contest.
For the adults, there’s a pub crawl Saturday night downtown Kincardine.
