A local pharmacy is hosting a couple of clinics to connect residents with healthcare professionals.
Kristen’s Pharmacy is bringing back its Orphan Patient Clinic after the success of the first two events.
The clinics allow residents who do not have a local family doctor or nurse practitioner to access primary care services, including lab and imaging requisitions, bloodwork interpretation, chronic disease management, preventive screening and referrals, and general primary care consultations.
Pharmacist and Owner of Kristen’s Pharmacy Kristen Watt says, “Our community deserves consistent, accessible care, and we’re committed to continuing to see patients in our pharmacy for whatever they need.”
The pharmacy is also working to secure funding to offset the technology expenses to support the clinics for the long term.
The next two clinics are being held at Kristen’s Pharmacy in Southampton on Oct. 27 and Dec. 2.
