Simcoe County has given a cheque for nearly 438-thousand dollars to representatives of the Simcoe County Hospice Alliance which marks the final instalment of a five-year commitment.
Over the past five years, the County has contributed more than 2.3 million to help strengthen palliative care.
Of this last installment, Collingwood’s Hospice Georgian Triangle received 128-thousand, and Mariposa House in Orillia 77-thousand, Hopsice Huronia in Penetanguishene 58-thousand and Barrie’s Hospice Simcoe 98-thousand dollars.
