The town of Collingwood has updated parking bylaws in order to streamline enforcement and strengthen public safety. Highlights include:
Parking on town streets overnight during winter is now prohibited from 1am to 7am starting November 1st. It has historically been December 1st.
In traffic calming zones parking is prohibited within ten metres of traffic calming devices on both sides of the road to maintain clear sight-lines and support the effectiveness of traffic calming measures.
And parking is prohibited in front or side yards unless the vehicle is on a designated driveway.
