Grey Bruce OPP say a Northern Bruce Peninsula man is facing impaired driving charges following a collision with a telephone pole.
On Oct. 13 around 8:10 p.m. police say officers responded to a single vehicle collision on Stokes Bay Road.
Police say the collision occurred when the driver swerved to avoid a deer and lost control of the vehicle, striking a telephone pole.
The driver was not injured, but police say the 58-year-old was charged with operation while impaired and having a high blood alcohol level.
The driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded for seven days.
The man is set to appear in court in Owen Sound next month.
