Online police record checks are now available for Hanover residents.
The police service says it has partnered with Triton Canada Inc. to offer the option of an online process.
They say you can apply using your cellphone, tablet or computer 24 hours per day, 7 days per week without ever attending the police station.
Hanover residents can make an online application by visiting the website at Hanoverpolice.ca, scrolling over the “Service” tab and selecting Police Records Checks.
Police say, “Whether the applicant requires a criminal record check, criminal record and judicial matters check or a vulnerable sector check, the process is simple, secure and accessible that still guarantees a turnaround time of one to two weeks, depending on current volumes.”
They add, the Hanover Police Service can only process record check applications for Hanover residents in accordance with the Criminal Records Act. They note, anyone who applies and has a primary address that is outside of the Town of Hanover will eventually have their application rejected and may risk not receiving a refund.
