Lakeland Networks and Lakeland Generation are delighted to once again recognize the academic excellence and dedication of five students from the Muskoka, Parry Sound, and Almaguin school districts with the Lakeland Networks Bursary Awards and the B. Ingram Excellence Award.
In its second year, the B. Ingram Excellence Award honours the memory of Bryan Ingram, Lakeland Generation’s esteemed Manager of Operations. This award continues Bryan’s legacy by supporting the next generation of young professionals and leaders within our local communities.
Lakeland is proud to offer this financial assistance as a testament to the academic achievements and promising futures of these exceptional young individuals.
The Lakeland Networks Bursary Award recipients are as follows:
Lakeland encourages young people to attend post-secondary education upon graduation and to bring the skills they have learned back to their community. In support of this, each year Lakeland Networks provides 4 – $1500 bursaries to assist graduating high school students in pursuing post-secondary education.

Recipient Mackenzie Devoe is a resident of Nobel and is studying Mechanical Engineering at Ontario Tech University. Mackenzie aims to develop modern energy production techniques to make life more affordable and sustainable. As a volunteer firefighter with McDougall Station 410, Mackenzie has demonstrated a strong commitment to community service.
