Keystone Child, Youth and Family Services is marking 50 years.
To celebrate the milestone, the Owen Sound-based agency which provides mental health support for youth in the region, will be holding a commemorative event on Sept. 29.
Keystone President and CEO David Willis says, “It’s a pretty incredible moment for us as an organization as we think about the next 50 years, look back on the incredible success that we have had over the past 50 years, so we are pretty excited.”
He says the event is being held at the Grey Roots Museum and Archives from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., and will feature a keynote address from Canadian Olympic medallist and mental health advocate Elizabeth Manley.
“This celebration reflects the dedication not only of our staff, volunteers, and partners, but also the strength of the youth and families we serve every day,” says Willis.
The agency was founded in the 1970s and offers a variety of programs for youth in need in the region, as well as supports for families including workshops.
Recently, Keystone opened a new satellite office at the Hanover Hospital.
