West Grey is upping its water and sewer fees for Durham and Neustadt.
Council approved having staff bring a bylaw forward to increase the rates by 5.5 per cent each year from 2025 to 2027 in Neustadt and 3.3 per cent each year from 2025 to 2026 in Durham during its meeting on Tuesday.
Director of Finance and Treasurer Kerri Mighton says the increases come with projected customer growth and increased consumption, as well as projected capital infrastructure requirements.
She says in Neustadt, residents can expect to pay an additional $11 to $12 per quarter, while residents in Durham can expect to pay an additional $5.40 per quarter.
The municipality will consider another review for 2028 to 2031, with a more detailed report coming to the next term of council.
