Some childcare services will no longer be offered at schools in Hensall and Exeter.
The Avon Maitland District School Board says London Bridge Child Care notified families it is withdrawing from its Before & After School Programs at Exeter Elementary School and Bluewater Coast Elementary School.
The withdrawal also affects the Preschool Program at Bluewater Coast.
AMDSB officials say they have reached out to the Manager of Children’s Services for the County of Huron and invited potential providers to consider operating the before- and after-school programs at these locations.
“Unfortunately, childcare providers continue to report staffing challenges affecting operators across Huron and Perth Counties,” the news release says.
“This is not the first provider to terminate a contract, and for the past three years, we have been actively searching for operators to fill gaps at three other Huron County schools and one Perth County school.”
