Northern Bruce Peninsula is developing new water and wastewater master plans for Tobermory and Lion’s Head and is looking to hear from the community.
CAO Peggy Van Mierlo-West says the main goal for the two master plans is to develop a long term strategy for delivering and improving water and wastewater services in both communities.
Residents are invited to attend two public information centre meetings being held on Wednesday at the Tobermory Community Centre from 10 a.m. to noon and at the Lion’s Head Rotary Hall from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The information sessions will introduce the master plan study, as well as the environmental assessment process, the existing infrastructure, problems and opportunities, and solutions.
“After completion, the preferred solutions and infrastructure projects will be released for a 30-day comment period. There is going to be plenty of time for people make comments on the processes and the projects themselves,” says Van Mierlo-West.
Those unable to take part in the meetings can voice their thoughts online on the Lets Talk NBP website here.
The question and comment period will close Sept. 26 at 4:30 p.m.
