Oxenden water system users are experiencing a service disruption.
A release sent out by the Township of Georgian Bluffs Thursday morning says Ontario Clean Water Agency crews are working to restore water service as soon as possible.
The township acknowledges it’s an “unplanned disruption.”
“Following restoration, some residents may notice tiny air bubbles in the water, which can cause a milky or cloudy appearance, as well as temporary discoloration due to naturally occurring sediment being disturbed in the watermains,” the release from the township explains. “These conditions are normal after a service interruption and do not pose a health risk.”
Those on the Oxenden water system are advised to run cold water taps for several minutes after service has been restored, and avoid using hot water until cold taps run clear.
