A teenager is facing eight charges, following a single-vehicle crash in Port Franks.
Police say they were called to Dolway Drive after reports a vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree, and the driver fled the scene.
Lambton OPP say they located the individual shortly after the collision and they were taken into custody.
An 18 year old from London has been charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Flight from peace officer
- Fail to remain
- Young driver – B.A.C above zero
- Person under 19 years consuming liquor
- Having care or control of a motor vehicle with liquor readily available
- Person under 19 years having liquor
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Sarnia on September 15th.
