A full report on services delivered by Huron Perth Public Health in 2024 has been released.
“The HPPH 2024 Annual Report includes updates on core public health programs and services likely familiar to our community, such as infectious disease control, immunizations, and Healthy Babies Healthy Children,” says Dr. Miriam Klassen, Medical Officer of Health.
HPPH had $18.2 million in revenue and expenditures in 2024, with the majority of spending on salaries and benefits.
104 cases of influenza were reported in the Huron-Perth health region in 2024, along with twenty COVID-19 outbreaks.
97 students in the two counties also received suspensions for failing to receive proper immunizations.
