Clearview Township is temporarily laying off staff during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The layoffs affect 21 staff and another 20 seasonal positions will not be filled this summer.
With not being able to hire seasonal staff, Clearview won’t be able to run its farmer’s markets, the Stayner Pool or the Tourism Information Centre during the summer of 2020.
The Clearview Youth Centre will stay closed and all programming including community outreach scheduled for July and August have been cancelled. The centre plans to re-open in September if allowed.
