Inter-Township Fire Department says that nobody was injured in a shop fire that happened near Francis Lake on Thursday afternoon.
Deputy Chief Andy Redmond says that 28 firefighters helped fight the fire on Spencer Avenue in the Township of Georgian Bluffs, with tanker support from Wiarton.
As the fire happened in a shop building, there were propane tanks in the building, and as a result, firefighters had to deal with multiple small explosions.
The flames were contained by firefighters, and there was no hazard to nearby properties.
When fire crews arrived, the building was fully engulfed in flames and has been declared a total loss.
In addition to the building being lost in the blaze, three vehicles were also destroyed – a motor home, a side-by-side, and a snowmobile.
