The Aces took a quick 1 run lead in the top half of the first and Meaford responded with 5 runs. Jessica H hit a double to push home the first run, Maddy P collected 3 RBIs with a triple.
In the 4th, Aces Natalie bunted and worked her way in to score with a nice single hit by Kyra before the third out.
A home run by Carlie R in the 6th doubled their runs to 4.
Aces battled to get runs in the 7th before 3 outs finished the game for Meaford.
Kinsey C and Cassie C shared the mound for the Aces and Kelly H pitched a solid game for Meaford.
Bears 5 Desboro Royals 2
The Bad News Bears defeated the Desboro Royals 5-2 in the first round of playoffs.
The Bears were led by Torie Lisk who had a double and a triple and two RBIs.
Em McAdam pitched the complete game allowing just 4 hits.
Desboro Royals offence was led by Maddy Moore, Patti Scarrow and Diane Elmore. Kolby Krueger, Moore and Elmore pitched for the Royals.
The Bears are back in action next on Tuesday August 20th in Desboro, while the Desboro Royals play August 14th in Tara at 8:30 vs Allenford Aces.
