An Owen Sound woman won some big bucks playing the lottery.
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation says Susan Ward took home a cool $207,000 for winning the second prize in the July 13 Lotto 6/49 draw.
Ward is a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who has been playing the lottery since it was launched in Ontario in 1975.
“I even remember playing Wintario,” she says in a release.
She checked her winning ticket at self-checker at a store and was shocked to learn about her big prize.
“I almost had to put my glasses on to double-check that it was real,” Ward recalls.
The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K on Sykes Street in Meaford.
