Over $2.7 million in funding from the provincial government is coming to Grey Bruce in support of infrastructure upgrades and repairs to hospitals in the region.
MPP for Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound Rick Byers says the funding is coming through the Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund.
Brightshores Health Systems is receiving over $1.9 million, the South Bruce Grey Health Centre is receiving over $618,000, and Hanover and District Hospital is getting almost $219,000.
“The government’s investment of over $2.7 million will help address the need for upgrades and repairs at our local hospitals,” says Byers. “Upgrading roofs, windows, security and fire alarm systems will ensure that people receive excellent care in safe, modern facilities.”
The funding from the Ontario Government is part of the $228 million being distributed to 129 hospitals and 58 community health care facilities.
