Two men face charges after allegedly fleeing Hanover Police in a stolen vehicle.
Hanover Police say they obtained warrants for the arrest of a 32-year-old Barrie man and brought him into custody in relation to an incident last month.
Police say on May 22, officers tried to stop a “stolen blue Dodge Challenger with stolen licence plates in a parking lot on 7th Avenue in Hanover.”
According to police, the driver of the car didn’t stop and instead sped off and nearly caused a collision. Police didn’t pursue the vehicle for safety reasons.
Now, Hanover Police say a 32-year-old Barrie man is in custody and has been charged with flight from police officer, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and other offences.
A 22-year-old man from Toronto was also arrested in relation to the investigation and charged.
