The U15 Creative Playgrounds North Stars continued their strong play to start the 2024 season with convincing wins over Burlington and Orangeville. In game one the North Stars took a couple quarters to get going but when they did they were hard to stop. Strong work by McKenna Ward in the offensive zone, along with some smart play making by Avery Thompson, helped London Doyle and Camryn Laycock combine for 11 goals, while Leah Cooper, Avery Seaman and Ella Todd chipped in to complete the scoring and secure a 15-7 win.
Game two saw strong mid field mild work by Ava Ward and Leah Cooper, while defensively; Jenna Cranny, Scarlett Stevenson and Caitlin Tran, along with goalie, Callie Sarvis, once again, locked down the opposition. Offensively it was a complete team approach with a 17-4 win. Goals were scored by Addison McCoubrey, Lily Shute, Ella Todd, London Doyle, Camryn Laycock, Scarlett Stevenson, Caitlin Tran and Avery Seaman. Next week the North Stars head to Oshawa.
