Georgian Bluffs is bringing back its Engage GB: Connect and Collaborate event for the second year.
The event is planned for June 18 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Grey Roots Museum, where attendees will be able to ask questions and voice their thoughts on a number of projects and topics impacting the municipality.
CAO Niall Lobley says last summer’s event was well attended.
“We will have a number of different areas set up for different conversations on things that we want to hear feedback from. We are also welcoming the community to give us any feedback they got during the event,” says Lobley.
He adds while attendees can talk about anything in the municipality, they are encouraging people to join in on conversations around the 2050 strategic plan and vision survey, waste collection services, a dog park proposal, and more.

“It’s useful to have an event where people can come and talk about lots of different things, instead of having individual workshops and openhouses on various different topics. We are wrapping them all up into one place so you can come along and check several different conversations off your list of things your want to talk to us about,” says Lobley.
The comments received by attendees will be used as the township continues to work on its various projects.
A new feature to the event this year is the Engage GB Passport. By getting it stamped at different tables, there is a chance to win a Georgian Bluffs prize pack.
If you are unable to attend the event, Lobley encourages visiting the Engage GB website here for more information on what is going on in the township.
