The Huntsville Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged two people with shoplifting from a local retail store on Ott Drive in Huntsville.
On May 26, 2024, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Huntsville OPP officers were dispatched to a home improvement store after an off-duty officer observed a male believed to be shoplifting. After investigation two people were arrested and charged. Stolen items were retrieved and returned to the store.
A 39 yr old from Huntsville, was charged with:
· Theft Under $5000- Shoplifting
· Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
· Fail to Comply with Probation Order
A 43 year old from Huntsville, was charged with:
· Theft Under $5000- Shoplifting
· Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
The accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge at a future date to answer to their charges.
