The Georgian Bay Giants blanked the Port Elgin Blue Devils 1-0 Wednesday evening to open the 2024 Bluewater Fastball League season.
Hayden Hellyer drove in the winning run in the seventh inning.
Caleb Keeshig picked up the win on the mound for Georgian Bay, striking out 16. Kyle Fry pitched well for Port Elgin as well, racking up 14 strikeouts.
Tonight, Georgian Bay (1-0) takes on Wiarton at 8 p.m.
