Georgian Bluffs is launching a new hotline for people to call and report issues related to short-term rental properties in the township.
The 24/7 service is set to be operational on Friday — in time for the Victoria Day long weekend.
“Our community values the safety and well-being of residents and visitors,” says Director of Corporate Services/Deputy CAO Brittany Drury in a release. “The introduction of this hotline is a step forward in ensuring that everyone enjoys their time in Georgian Bluffs, and that peace and security are maintained across our neighbourhoods.”
The hotline can be reached at (226) 909-2060. A township statement says it will serve as the first point of contact, where short-term rental operators can manage tenant issues quickly and efficiently.
Georgian Bluffs has also increased by-law enforcement staffing to cover evenings, nights and weekends, to help manage any short-term rentals related complaints.
