The Lures N Lines Spring Trout Derby has now reached its 4th year. This year, we raised $8250 for the Bruce Peninsula Sportsmen Association Hatchery Program.
The derby committee is overwhelmed by the continued growth of the derby each year. We can only attribute this amazing growth to the support of our sponsors.
The overwhelming sponsorship support from our community has been nothing less than outstanding. All of our sponsors are dedicated to the conservation of recreational sport fishing and truly show their support with generous donations.
The Derby continues to generate thousands of dollars each year. These funds have gone directly back to hatchery programs and stream rehabilitation in our community.
In its first 4 years, the derby has generated just over $54,000, and we have given away $27,000 in cash and prizes. Most importantly, we donated over $27,000 to the conservation of recreational sport fishing hatchery programs and stream rehabilitation. These much needed funds go directly back to hatchery programs and stream rehabilitation in our community. Its amazing to see the Community supporting its own communities fishing future.
The Lures N Lines Spring Trout Derby’s mandate for is simple: Creating awareness and recognizing the importance of our Community Hatchery Programs. It definitely looks like we are off to a good start.
