Grey Bruce OPP say a man is facing charges following a break and enter at a seasonal home in Southgate.
Police say on May 11, a person broke into a seasonal property on Highway 89. While the owner fixed the damage, they did not report it to police.
Then on May 13 at 8:33 p.m., police say they responded to a report of a break and enter at the same seasonal home.
Police were able to locate someone on the property, but say there is no evidence to suggest the same person broke in both times.
As a result, the 35-year-old accused from Amaranth Township has been charged with breaking and entering, theft under $5,000, and mischief.
The accused is set to appear in court in Owen Sound on June 6.
“It is important for homeowners to report all break and enters to police and reports of suspicious individuals or vehicles,” say police.
Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact police at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
