Meaford is going to look at approving an over $355,000 contract today for an upgrade to Meaford Hall.
Council will consider awarding the tender to Cimco Refrigeration Ltd. to replace a condenser, providing a new air-cooled chiller unit.
The work will also include the disposal of the old unit and replacing the concrete foundation.
This falls within the allotted $390,000 the municipality set in its 2024 budget for the project. The remaining $34,000 is needed to complete some initial preparation work, which includes pouring a concrete pad for the new condenser.
The delivery and installation is estimated to be done in 25 to 30 weeks if council approves the tender.
Council will consider approving the contract during its meeting today at 1 p.m.
