West Grey is going to look at making Neustadt’s Industrial Park Lands available for purchase this week.
Council will consider making this property surplus to allow it to be sold after community members have expressed interest in purchasing this land, specifically the three acres across from 373 John Street.
The lands have been assessed between $142,500 to $150,000 per acre.
To be able to sell this land, however, it must have a connecting roadway.
A report from Clerk and Director of Legislative Services Jamie Eckenswiller says, “the subject lands are presently part of a much larger parcel of land in the Neustadt industrial park that does not currently have road frontage.”
To get the property ready to sell, survey work is recommended and is expected to take three to five months to complete, costing up to $15,000.
Council will consider taking the steps to make this property available for purchase at its meeting on March 19 at 9 a.m.
