An intrepid Huron Park resident helped OPP catch a pair of would-be thieves.
Police say they were called about a break-and-enter on Quebec Avenue in the South Huron town, and two suspects fled the scene in a minivan.
According to reports, the property owner followed the suspects, and updated police during the chase.
OPP say the pair were followed through Middlesex and Lambton counties, and ultimately stopped in Bosanquet Township.
A 42 year old man from Forest has been charged with:
- Break, Enter a Place – Commit Indictable Offence
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
- Fail to Comply with Release Order – (two counts)
A 23 year old Forest woman has been charged with:
- Break, Enter a Place – Commit Indictable Offence
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine
Both are scheduled to appear in Goderich court in April.
