The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) is advising anglers and the owners of ice huts that with ice conditions expected to deteriorate quickly in parts of the province, they should start developing a plan to remove their ice huts.
The Ministry urges them to implement the plans before ice conditions deteriorate and not wait until the last minute.
Garbage should be removed too. If the huts are allowed to fall through beyond their removal date, charges could be laid against the owners.
