Hanover Police say an investigation has led to the arrest of a snowmobiler who allegedly fled a police stop last month.
Police say, back on December 13th 2023, at 1:23 a.m., officers attempted to stop a snowmobile at the intersection of 10th Street and 13th Avenue in Hanover.
They say the snowmobiler did not stop for police and fled at a high speed, failing to stop for a red light and several stop signs.
Police say they did not pursue the snowmobiler for public safety reasons.
They say through an investigation, Hanover officers identified the driver as a 36-year-old West Grey man.
About a month and a half later, on January 29th, the suspect was located in Hanover, arrested without incident and later released with a court date. He is charged with flight from police, operation while prohibited and dangerous operation of a conveyance.
