Grey Bruce is marking International Women’s Day this week by sharing stories of women in business.
The event from Business to Bruce and Women’s House Serving Bruce and Grey, Count Her In: Accelerating Gender Equality Through Economic Empowerment is set for March 7 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Klages Mill and Garden in Chesley.
In addition to sharing stories of women entrepreneurs, attendees will be able to network and hear from TED Talk and global keynote speaker Sarah Baldeo who will speak on how to use technology to drive revenue for your small business.
Baldeo is a neuroscientist, technologist, corporate strategist, and entrepreneur, who in 2023, gave 24 keynotes and was recently nominated for the DMZ 2024 Women of the Year Award.
“With women entrepreneurs raising the bar, building new bridges and leading Bruce County’s economy and prosperity we have lots of reasons to celebrate,” says a release from Business to Bruce.
In addition, the Women’s House is also accepting nominations to celebrate a woman of distinction.
