The Bluewater Association for Lifelong Learning has a new lecture series coming up.
It’s set to begin in January and will focus on good things that are happening locally. The series is called Hope and Inspiration In Grey Bruce.
“It’s local folks who are making positive changes in the community,” says Assocation Chair Bob Kanduth.
While the association usually holds lectures at Bayshore Community Centre in Owen Sound with an online option as well, this particular series is going to be online only.
The series runs from January to February.
Speakers will include Community Foundation Grey Bruce Executive Director Stuart Reid on Supporting Community Resiliency through Philanthropy, REACH Centre Executive Director Jennifer Miller, NeighbourWoods North members speaking on local environmental projects, Natasha Akiwenzie, Manager of the Bagida’waad Alliance on how climate change is affecting Saugeen Ojibway Nation fishing, Leigh Grigg on sustainability and regeneration, and Nuclear Innovation Institute CEO Bruce Wallace on technological change.
