A crash with a fire hydrant in Bayfield resulted in charges against a Bluewater woman.
First responders were called to a section of Charles Street near Chiniquy Street, after police say a vehicle struck a fire hydrant.
Reports say the three occupants of the vehicle were not hurt, but damage to the hydrant caused flooding in a nearby residence.
OPP say the driver failed a roadside breath test, along with another test at a detachment.
A 44 year old from Bluewater has been charged with:
- Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus),
- Dangerous Operation.
The accused has since been released from custody with a Goderich court appearance scheduled for January 8th, 2024.
