An impaired driving call to police in Goderich escalated to weapons charges.
Huron OPP say they were called to Gibbons Street, where witnesses reported someone under the influence in the driver’s seat of a vehicle.
When officers attended, they say the suspect shows signs of impairment, and a search turned up a weapon and controlled substances on the accused.
A 47 year old from Goderich has been charged with:
- Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
- Possession of a Controlled Substance – Cocaine
- Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine
- Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon.
The accused is scheduled to appear in Goderich court December 11th.
