Bracebridge OPP report they’ve charged a local man after a shoplifting incident in Gravenhurst.
On December 1st at 1 pm police say they were dispatched to a theft in progress after a man was caught stealing some heated coats from a retail store on Muskoka Road North.
Officers located the man and say he had dropped the items and lost a shoe trying to flee through a snowbank.
Police have charged a 52-year-old from Port Sydney with Theft Under $5,000.
He’ll appear in Bracebridge court January 16th, 2024 to answer to the charge.
