Wasaga Beach Council has raised concerns about land transactions and records destruction that occurred during the term of the previous council. The town’s CAO, and a lawyer retained by the town, both told councillors there are questions around a business park land transaction in 2022, a proposed waterfront development plan, and the purchase of property for the town’s new arena and library.
Officials also say records were destroyed prior to the new council and a new CAO taking office.
The concerns have been passed along to the OPP and the provincial Ministry Of Attorney General.
There’s more information here about the allegations raised at the Nov. 30 meeting of Wasaga Beach Council.
