The coniferous tree on the corner of Gideon and Perry Streets outside of the Clearview Administration Centre has been decorated in festive lights this year to honour the 100th anniversary of the Stayner Horticultural Society.
Mayor Measures is grateful for the contribution that the group has made to Clearview Township over the past 100 years, “The tree at the Admin Centre has been decorated by Clearview
Township to honour and thank the many volunteers of the Stayner Horticulture Society and to recognize the 100th Anniversary of their group.”
“We hope that residents can enjoy the lights and will take some time to walk by the tree and read the commemorative plaque below it.”
The now towering blue spruce tree was planted in 2003 to commemorate 80 years of the Stayner Horticultural Society, affectionately known as the Stayner Garden Club. It is located just behind the beautiful seasonal gardens that the Garden Club maintains at the Administration Centre.
