Vanessa Kelly has been sworn in as the newest member of Goderich council.
Kelly was sworn into the role at Monday’s meeting of elected officials, after having been chosen the week prior among 11 applicants.
After four rounds of voting resulting in a tie between hopefuls Vanessa Kelly and Michael Daley, town clerk Andrea Fisher had to draw lots to select the new member of council.
Kelly’s name was drawn, making her the newest member of Goderich Council.
The councillor position was left vacant, after former councillor Leah Noel was appointed Deputy Mayor earlier this year.
