Saugeen Shores Police say they have arrested and charged a local man after a break-in to a home.
Police say on Tuesday, November 14th at about 4:30 p.m. they responded to a report of a break and enter in progress at a residential address in Port Elgin.
Officers spoke with the homeowner who said an unknown man had entered her home but had since fled on foot.
Police say they soon located the suspect across the road, and they say he was attempting to break into a second residence.
He was arrested at the scene and held in custody for a bail hearing.
The 47-year-old Port Elgin man is charged with two counts of break and enter and mischief under $5000.
