Members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fail to remain that involved a cyclist and a pickup truck.
On Friday, October 27, 2023, at approximately 3:30pm, police responded to the area of Fairgrounds Road and Nottawasaga 15/16 Sideroad in the Township of Clearview, for a cyclist that was struck by a red or burgundy pick-up truck that did not remain at the scene.
The cyclist was southbound on Fairgrounds Road when they were stuck by the pickup truck. The passenger side mirror of the pickup truck was knocked off the vehicle after striking the cyclist.
Thankfully, the cyclist did not suffer any injuries as a result of the collision.
The investigation is continuing and ongoing.
