The province’s Special Investigations Unit will be probing a collision in Saugeen Shores yesterday that left a couple of people with serious injuries.
Saugeen Shores Police say an officer on patrol tried to stop a vehicle just after 2 p.m. Thursday, but the driver of the car took off and then crashed into a tree.
According to police, the driver and passengers in the vehicle were taken to hospital. Two vehicle occupants suffered serious injuries, police say.
Saugeen Shores Police didn’t say where the crash happened.
The local police service says it can’t provide any more information as the SIU has invoked its mandate.
